CURRENT PROJECTS
Please join the Labrador Friendship Centre in congratulating these community organizations across our province. These are the successful projects which the Government of Canada will be funding through its Reaching Home Indigenous NL stream:

Ktaqmukuk Hub for Rural Homelessness, Flat Bay Band Inc.
Using our community sustainability approach, we will identify Mi'kmaq who are experiencing homelessness, or at imminent risk, and offer immediate help and connection to home band/community services and referrals to other service providers.

Exploits Native Women's Association
Roots to Stability Emergency Relief Program directly supports Indigenous individuals and families experiencing homelessness and at imminent risk of homelessness by providing access to emergency housing support and essential services.

Newfoundland Aboriginal Womens Network
We will assist Indigenous women facing homelessness, determining the type of housing and supports the individual or family needs including cultural supports.

Labrador Friendship Centre Houseless Support Program
Support Indigenous individuals at risk of or experiencing homelessness who seek services through the Labrador Friendship Centre. It focuses on those impacted by colonization, trauma, and socio-economic conditions contributing to housing instability. This includes individuals living in unsafe or insecure housing, those transitioning from care or institutions, and those fleeing abuse. All activities will be culturally appropriate and responsive to the unique needs of Indigenous peoples.
